Your photo or mine?
I can create a portrait (people / pets) or landscape painting from one of your photos, whether it's of a loved one that you would like to see turned into a painting or a photo of your home or a special monument that you would like to have turned into an keepsake work of art.
If you'd like to supply the photo for the painting, Karen will help you select a photo that is a great candidate to be turned into a wonderful painting. If you didn't take the photo yourself, please be sure to have permission from the photo's copyright holder to use the photo as the basis for a painting.
If you don't have a photo that you'd like to use, you can arrange a photography session in which Karen Hodas Photography will take photos to be used as the basis for either portrait or landscape paintings. After the photography session, you and I will select a photo that will result in the best painting.
Process
You and I decide which photo (or photos that can be combined) to use.
You decide what type of product you want (canvas, greeting cards, or specialty items).
We agree on a size.
I start the painting after the first payment of 50%.
I then paint the painting based on the photo.
After you send the final payment, you receive your beautiful painting to cherish forever.
Result
Artwork can be created on any variety of canvas sizes, or you can have the artwork printed on specialty items such as, posters, greeting cards, apparel, ornaments, acrylic, metal, wood, playing cards, and many more speciality items.
Flat artwork (vs. canvas) can be custom matted and framed under glass.
Limited Commissions
Karen will only work on one custom commission at a time to ensure quality artwork
Time
Expect a turn around time of 2 months to finish the artwork. Specialty items may take longer to have printed.
